LANDSCAPE DESIGN
Workplace for Wellbeing
Teledyne e2v (Chelmsford) is a manufacturer with its headquarters in England, that designs, develops and manufactures systems and components in healthcare, life sciences, space, transportation, defence and security and industrial markets (Teleydne E2v, date unknown) .
This project aims to create a restorative landscape that will benefit the mental health and wellbeing of employees at Teleydyne e2v.
Design will consider opportunities and activities for the needs of all workers to engage with socially, mindfully and physically.

This project was carried out by Jade Lambert and is currently in review.

See below for the full project process.
Site analysis
The site is an urban workplace consisting of 90% hard or man made surfacing including large areas of car parking, offices and factory workshops. The immediate context is also considered urban.Â
Links to green infrastructure include Marconi nature reserve to the east of the site and strong links to Central Park, Admirals Park and the River Can.
The site analysis, shown below will consider access to these elements to benefit employees (research supports the theory that blue and green infrastructure will improve workers mental health and wellbeing).

Design process
The design process has been constructed through the following design principles. These were made through the analysis of literature regarding restorative landscapes and through analysing existing workplace environments.

Masterplan and drawing explanations
The following graphics show explanations of the complete design and how it aims to create social, active and mindful experiences in order to create a restorative landscape for employees.Â
A main focus has been on the increase in green and blue infrastructure to support wellbeing.
